San Quirico

San Quirico is a charming resort of Val d’Orcia often unfairly overlooked by visitors Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano. Its wonderful landscape was also made famous by Ridley Scott where he shot some scenes of the movie “Gladiator” … including the famous scene where the now deposed General Maximus (Russell Crowe) returns home to find his wife and child killed.
